Dr. Jackson is a research physicist at the UCSD Center for Astrophysics & Space Science. He is working with UCSD colleague Paul Hick to reconstruct the the 3-D structure of CMEs and the interplanetary environment through which they propagate. The data used for these reconstructions will include white light observations from the SMEI instrument on the Coriolis spacecraft, as well as IPS radio data.

Dr. Hick is a research physicist with extensive experience in X-ray solar physics. The heliospheric reconstruction models he is studying with Bernard Jackson (UCSD) will be compared to the CME simulations of Dusan Odstrcil (Colorado University). This will providing important tests of MHD models of CME propagation.
