- Mission to Geospace
The public outreach page of the International Solar Terrestrial Physics program at
NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Provides a variety of space weather resources, including
a huge solar image gallery.
- National Academies - Space Weather
The National Academy of Sciences was formed to advise government on scientific and technical
matters. This is their comprehensive space weather site.
- Windows to the Universe - Space Weather
The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research has established the "Windows to the
Universe" project to develop a fun and unique website about the Earth and space sciences.
Their space weather page includes latest information about the Sun, space weather, and the
Earth's aurora.
- The Center for Science Education
The Center for Science Education (which, like Solar MURI, is run from the UC Berkeley
Space Sciences Laboratory) contains various resources on solar physics, space weather,
the Earth's aurora, and other areas of space science.
- Solar Max 2000 by the Exploratorium
Solar Max 2000 provides a huge range of current information about the Sun.
- Stanford Solar Center
The Stanford Solar Center presents a collection of fun educational activities based on the
Solar Oscillations Investigation (SOI) and Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO).
- Yohkoh Public Outreach Project
The Yohkoh spacecraft is a cooperative mission of Japan, the USA, and the UK for the
study of X-rays and gamma-rays from the Sun. The Yohkoh Public Outreach Project
includes a range of activities for youngsters, parents, teachers and anyone interested
in learning more about the Sun.
