A routine cartoon that incorporates the celebrated Piddington-style view of the solar interior (but with better labels than "j = anything"), probably an improvement. The coronal sketch emphasizes the role of the environment of the active region, i.e. the corona around it. Environmental influences are often discussed in other branches of astrophysics, e.g. with respect to black holes in galactic nuclei. So, why not here?
