The paper compares asymmetrical and symmetrical filament eruptions, finding that the flare brightening follows the eruptive motion in detail. This therefore supports the standard model, and the cartoon here (see also Isobe et al. 2005) extends it to make this clear. In the paper one will find PFLs, PEAs, and PILs as well.
