Vrsnak, B., Warmuth, A., Maricic, D., Otruba, W., and Ruzdjak, V. "Interaction of an erupting filament with the ambient magnetoplasma and escape of electron beams," Solar Physics 217, 187, 2003.
This is another in the tradition of Heyvaerts, Priest, and Rust, with the wrinkle here being the application not to emerging flux (ie, something on a small scale, as in an X-ray jet) but instead to a quiet-Sun filament eruption. Here, to my mind, the act of reconnection is a little bit harder to understand because of the lower stresses in the corona (as opposed to the lower solar atmosphere, where they are of course still small).
The cartoon explains the delay of interplanetary electron injection, relative to the impulsive phase, by having the acceleration take place at point F, followed by "escape" mediated by reconnection at point R.
The notation is defined as...
NA "New Arcade"
FA "Flaring Arcade"
F "Flare"
N "North"
R The "R" word.
Note that "NA" could mean something else to an American bureaucrat.
